TEST EXPO 2019 - Imagine

The 4thTestExpo event -  TestExpo Imagine – gathered together approximately 200 quality assurance and cybersecurity professionals to network and learn about the future of our industry. In this event, our keynote speakers viewed the future landscape from different angles helping us to understand the rapidly changing environment and giving participants ideas on how we as individuals, professionals, and organizations should prepare and adapt for the future. "Imagine" was designed to inspire you to look beyond traditional and into the heart of your business challenges.

Katri Saarikivi on aivotutkija, joka johtaa Helsingin yliopiston Kognitiivisen aivotutkimuksen yksikössä empatian ja laadukkaan vuorovaikutuksen mekanismeja selvittävää tutkimusprojektia. Erityisenä kiinnostuksen kohteena on se, mitä hyötyä empatiasta on erilaisissa työn konteksteissa ja miten empatia saataisiin toimimaan paremmin myös tietokonevälitteisessä vuorovaikutuksessa. Tutkimustyön ohella Saarikivi on intohimoinen tieteen popularisoija, jonka mielestä tiede kuuluu kaikille ja on arvokasta vasta silloin, kun se koskettaa kaikkia.

Reilun kahden ja puolen vuoden ajan Espoon kaupungin tietoturvapäällikkönä toiminut Matti Parviainen valittiin vuoden tietoturvapäälliköksi 2019. Parviainen on ennakkoluulottomasti onnistunut nostamaan positiivisessa mielessä tietoturvallisuuden merkitystä sekä kaupungissa, että yhteiskunnallisella tasolla. Yhtenä esimerkkinä on nuorten osallistaminen kaupungin tietoturvallisuuden parantamiseen Hack with Espoo konseptin avulla.

Kimmo on toiminut 20 vuotta IT-alalla, joista yli 10 on vierähtänyt tietoturvan parissa. Trend Micron johtoportaassa Kimmolla on poikkeuksellinen näköalapaikka tietoturvan alati muuttuvaan maailmaan.

Previously, he worked for the ANSSI (French National Infosec Agency), in the field of Infosec Industrial Policy and for the French ministry of defence as Infosec Architect. He had started his career working as infosec expert for the French bank Société Générale.

Michiel Boreel has been working in the IT Industry for over 30 years. Now in the role of CTO contributing to the innovation in Sogeti, one of Capgemini’s strategic business units. At Sogeti, Michiel established SogetiLabs, a think tank with the goal of inspiring customers to apply new technology in business processes. A constant theme in all of the SogetiLabs research is the question of what role IT will play in the future society and how technology can be applied to create meaningful business innovation. Since the start of the institute, it has published over 15 books and reports.  Based on his research, Michiel is often asked for his engaging and visionary speeches or in the role of Master of Ceremony at national and international events. Additionally, he works with many clients to create in-house innovation workshops where, through strategic dialogue, emerging technologies are translated into specific business innovation opportunities. Michiel Boreel is, as Chief Technology Officer, part of the Executive Management Committee of Sogeti and is Corporate Vice President of Capgemini.

Jaakko Lehtinen is heading Capgemini's Nordic Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence. He is one of the Finnish robotic process automation pioneers: for the past five years, Jaakko has worked full time in leading positions related to knowledge work automation and has had the opportunity to closely observe how automation benefits have been implemented in various European companies and in different industries. Before joining Capgemini, Jaakko has worked in service delivery, operations, outsourcing and IT services development positions. Jaakko is actively following up on phenomenons related to automation and cognitive, and he is daily in the middle of the action experiencing how new technologies such as artificial intelligence or natural language processing influence knowledge work and business.

With 10+ years of experience, she has lived and worked in Berlin, Munich, San Francisco, London, Barcelona, Singapore and Helsinki where she worked in multidisciplinary teams for big brands and small companies creating products and services for a variety of industries.

As a service designer, she identifies connections between user needs, business opportunities and technological constraints. At Idean, she helps clients to explore new business opportunities, improve their innovation capabilities and ultimately facilitates change inside organisations.

As part of the Application Delivery Management portfolio within Micro Focus he supports the Enterprise DevOps pillar and embodies the problem solving attitude required within the DevOps movement.

EuroSTAR is an independent and all-inclusive community where Software Testers can collaboratively work towards evolving their profession while fulfilling their professional potential. EuroSTAR welcomes testers through a thriving annual conference and an online platform called Huddle.

The annual EuroSTAR Software Testing Conference is a fun, energetic and amazing celebration of the craft of testing in Europe. It is the longest running and largest conference on testing in Europe with the biggest variety of topics. It takes place in November in different European cities each year and aims to foster closer ties between testers across Europe. The conference is held over 4 days with over 60 sessions including tutorials, workshops and talks and also includes an exhibition which runs for 2.5 days.

The conference is community-driven – all members are invited to submit proposals to talk at the conference; speakers are selected by an independent review panel of volunteers and by a programme committee which is renewed each year; the social programme and Expo are carefully created each year with the explicit aim of fostering conversation between attendees, speakers and exhibitors.

The 27th annual EuroSTAR Software Testing Conference will take place Nov 11-14 in Prague, the Czech Republic with full-day & half-day tutorials, active workshops, dozens of track sessions, networking & social events, an interactive Test Lab and software testing exhibition.
